HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.No understanding of human life, individual or collective, could be complete without factoring in the role and contribution of these history-shaping teachers. Alex Haley is honoured also having facilitated autobiography. Respect to Laurence Fishburne for giving voice & presenting so respectfully doing proud to this great leader of people. I remember the dreadful publicity that Malcom X & the Muslims in America recieved in the press & wondering what the real truth was exactly.

The lack of judgementalness & bitterness in the words & the reading, resonate the facts relayed. Laurence Fishburne's reading is impeccable & perfectly matched to this true story. However I am thoroughly convinced this mans unique perspective & true heart that shines thru his telling, unafraid to admit his wrongs & self awareness to grow & change, shows the courage & integrity of an honourable champion of truth & human rights. This mans story is testament to the positive fruit of the human spirit & the ability to change & seed change among people whatever the circumstances. In Malcolm Xs own words, a truthful, frank & honest bearing of the soul. This is a revelation of an autobiography. The Autobiography of Malcolm X shows how far we have come and where we are today. But to see white America finally catch on that the systematic racism is deeply ingrained (BLM George Floyd). Today's young men and women who don't remember the struggle of the 1960s they don't remember very much except in history books. I just wanted to see both of them force this country into new Direction. I never bought into any of that and never gave my opinion as you would loose either way. **( Note how they used the N word and did not think it was offensive). They would tell me Malcolm X is a Bad and Martin Luther king was a good one. I was young then, I dealt with a lot of racism and one of the things that I remembered was white associates would try to force me to tell them was I for Malcolm X or was I for Martin Luther King. I never knew that Malcolm X had left a autobiography however, I remember that time period. I am a better man for having listened to this book.
